Gizmondo has confirmed that its overdue multimedia handheld will finally launch in the UK on the 19th March 2005. The handheld will be available to the public at its flagship store in London as well as selected retailers across the UK.
Launching for £229 (inc. VAT), the jam-packed launch package will consist of the Gizmondo, a standard 1100 mAh battery and mains charger, contact-free SIM card, an SD card containing various music, game and movie demos, in-the-ear headphones, driver software CD and a 1.75 USB cable.
"Gizmondo is the British challenger in a market that will witness a spectacular boom this year. We've been able to introduce exciting new features like GPS into gaming, and with such a remarkable list of features, the Gizmondo is the most powerful, feature-laden piece of multi-entertainment hardware available,” said Carl Freer, Managing Director, Gizmondo.
The Gizmondo is scheduled to launch in North America and the rest of Europe from Spring 2005.
