Gizmondo announced today that the NVIDIA GoForce 3D 4500 wireless media processor (WMP) has been selected for the eagerly anticipated Gizmondo game pad. The Gizmondo will leverage the superb 3D, video and imaging capabilities of the GoForce 3D 4500 WMP to provide mobile gamers with an exceptionally immersive gaming experience.

In addition, the Gizmondo and NVIDIA collaboration reflects an industry in constant development, where synergy between leading technology suppliers, platforms and game developers is key to delivering compelling content. The two companies will provide content partners with development kits to enable the creation of next-level handheld content for the console. Gizmondo and NVIDIA plan to distribute up to 500 software development kits throughout the game developer community by the end of first half, 2005.

Right from the start, Gizmondo near enough announced that they were here, they staked their flag into the ground, the green flag flapping proudly in the wind. The second thing that was told to the gaming world was that the Gizmondo was going to be a handheld console like no other and it is just that. With each month, week even, there has been a new press release, saying that a new company has teamed up with them, to either provide graphics, technology or the funds to support the console. There have been highly known developers creating games for this history breaking handheld with new and innovative titles to rock the gaming market. It is no surprise now then that NVIDIA have also jumped on the band wagon and are offering their services. It has been said by me more than once and until I have the console in my hands and all I have said about it is proved wrong to my own eyes, then I will go on saying it.
