Talkman, a new translation software program designed for the PSP, has been announced on Monday's press conference held in Tokyo. It has been dubbed as a game rather than a resource tool.
The program, which will be compatible with the PSP headset, will enable users to verbally say a phrase into the microphone. The program then takes the spoken word and displays a translated textual version of what was said, while showing a flag which relates to the language's origin.
Also included are games which are not entirely translation based. One of the many games will have players read text to determine a rating for their pronunciation skill.
As usual there has been no word for a release date or retail price outside of Japan. RP
