To coincide with the release of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith to movie theatres in Spring 2005, French publisher Ubisoft has announced that they have signed an exclusive licensing agreement with LucasArts to develop handheld versions of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith which will be available on the Playstation Portable, Nintendo DS and the Gameboy Advance.
Developed by Ubisoft’s own highly praised Montreal studio, the game promises to fully leverage the strengths of each handheld platform, and to include multiple character control, devastating Force powers and new locations on hand for each version of the game.
"Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith will be the video game that every handheld gaming fan on the planet will enjoy playing - including those of the epic Star Wars series," said Alain Corre, Ubisoft's managing director for Europe, Middle East and Asia. "This ultimate Jedi action game will astound gamers using the new handheld technology from Sony's PSP and the Nintendo DS. As always, it's a pleasure to pursue our partnership with LucasArts, particularly with such a hot license."
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith is expected to release alongside the movie release in Spring 2005. RP
