PlayStation Underground’s recent holiday demo CD contained a faulty Viewtiful Joe 2 demo that wiped users’ memory cards during gameplay. Aware of the problem, Sony Computer Entertainment America issued an apology last week to all the disc owners. In addition to the apology, SCEA are now offering free games to those who have who suffered the fault.

The games available are: Athens 2004, ATV Offroad Fury 3, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, Hot Shots Golf Fore!, MLB 2004, Parappa the Rapper 2, Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Wild Arms 3.

While the demo disc may be defective, it can still be played as long as the memory cards are removed from the PS2. RP
