MorganComputers slashes Zodiac prices (18/03/2005)
Options: (Print) (Send)
Zodiac 1 and 2 prices slashed to £82.74 and £117.49 respectively!
The little Palm that wanted to be a handheld games console never really took off in the mainstream gaming market... perhaps because they were never really in the public eye and for sale in GAME, oh and they cost a whopping £190. The Zodiac's story is a sad one, however, MorganComputers.co.uk have got their hands on some which they are offering at games console prices!

Morgan Computer Co, one of the UK’s leading dealers in surplus and end-of-line computer equipment, announce a special purchase of Tapwave Zodiac multimedia handheld PCs. These stocks are brand new and will be selling for well below half the normal market price.

Indeed, you read that correctly - below half the normal market price.
This means the 32mb Zodiac 1 is available for a stunning £82.7 and the 128mb Zodiac 2 for £117.4.

We recommend you grab a
32mb version and use the £34.75 you save to buy a
512mb Kingston Secure Digital Card from Ebuyer. That is 512mb of storage for around the price you pay for the 92mb extra that the Zodiac 2 offers!

The Zodiac remains the most sophisticated handheld console to date, offering a higher screen resolution than even the PlayStation Portable, a touch sensitive screen, a real analogue stick and full PDA functions to boot. Suffice to say, this little beauty remains my most used console to date, great for listening to music, reading e-books, taking notes, watching videos and so much more.
