It looks like Java Programmers on the Nokia N-Gage will be able to access features from the Nokia Arena through a new joint release from Sun and Nokia.

SNAP Mobile (Scalable Network Applications Package) should not only promote the use of the J2ME MIDP enviroment in the N-Gage, but encourage the N-Gage to the Mobile Telecoms Operators through the increased revenues wireless gaming supplies.

SNAP Mobile is based around Nokia's SNAP middleware, and be will released Q3 2004 from Sun as part of their Wireless Toolkit. ES
