A whole new games line-up for Nintendo (18/08/2004)

Nintendo are getting the most out of their consoles before the next gen systems kick in.
With Christmas coming upon us fast once again it is time to find out what we might be getting in our stockings to revive our Gamecube and GBA well into next year.

Nintendo have unveiled a lineup of games taking us right through the next few months up to November. Most of the titles are sounding pretty impressive and we have a good few sequels letting us pick up and play our favourite titles in their new incarnations.

Amongst this massive lineup will be the brand new Lord of the Rings game, retitled "Lord of the Rings: The Third Age." Whilst the Lord of the Rings games we know and love adopt a few RPG elements The Third Age will go the whole nine yards and bring us a stunning new RPG spanning the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The Third Age will allow you to create your own character and then set off into the wide world of Middle Earth following in the footsteps of Frodo and his companions. Expect to re-live many of the events from the movies and embark on some adventures of your own as well.

If that was not enough, around 30 more titles are in the works for the Gamecube, so with it being the cheapest console current on the market there has never been a better time to rush out and buy one. Animal Crossing, NFSU:2 and Prince of Persia 2 are some of the titles I can't wait to get my hands on.

With backwards compatibility in the DS confirmed you need not worry about your GBA games becoming obselete in the new year, so there is no excuse not to grab The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap expected mid November. PH
