Not long after the chances of a DS redesign this year were almost completely debunked it appears as though Nintendo have snuck up and hit us with the DS "lite", an up-and-coming re-design which updates the DS aesthetics to match those of the Revolution, or its controllers in any case.

We can only guess that this design change is the beginning of what might be some very interesting and unique interaction between the DS and its soon-to-be mother console.
