Sega’s European division has confirmed that Project Rub, broadly known as Feel the Magic: XY/XX in North America and Kimi no Tame Nara Shineru in Japan, will be available at the European launch of the Nintendo DS in Q1 2005 under the new name Project Rub. The cause for this name change is unknown.

An enticing proposition and a title that is a truly unique treat for the first wave of Nintendo DS owners. Project Rub pushes and utilises all that this ground-breaking new handheld has to offer,” said Mike Hayes, Managing Director of Sega Europe Ltd.

Personally we fancy the new name – it sounds less peculiar and shorter than ‘Feel the Magic: XY/XX’. RP
