With approximately less than a month to go for the US launch of the Nintendo DS, Electronic Arts has released more information on the three sports titles which will be obtainable on launch day.
"The launch of the Nintendo DS is a big event for game fans worldwide. We will be there with some of our most popular franchises," said Gerhard Florin, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Electronic Arts Europe. "Each of our games has been custom designed for the Nintendo DS, guaranteeing a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience."
Tiger Woods PGA Tour will utilise the touch screen to allow players to direct their swing and position their shots. As for wireless play, EA have added a multi-player mode.
The Urbz: Sims in the City will include DS-exclusive features such as 24 new objects, a touch-screen menu system, five mini-games, seven characters and five pet species.
Madden 2005 makes use of the touch screen to call plays, utilise the kick meter and select audible at the line of scrimmage. The second screen is home to Field Radar, which allows gamers to see where all 22 players are on the field while staying in the heart of the action on the other screen. In addition, online play will be available.
Not a fan of any of the titles listed above? Fear not, EA has confirmed that GoldenEye: Rogue Agent and Need for Speed Underground will ship in the months following launch. RP
