The ever-popular ancient Chinese action series is coming to a DS near you.
Although we have a complete lack of information about the prospect of Dynasty Warriors on the DS I was intrigued to find out it will also be available for the PSP.
If these titles are to be the same then we may well see one of the first games on the DS to not make use of the secondary touch-sensitive screen.
However if Koei play their cards right we could be seeing one of the best Dynasty Warriors games to date in the palms of our hands.
Imagine, if you will, being in the fray, swamped in enemy soldiers and struggling your way through a battle. You are about to die and nobody is close by to help you. Well, never fear. You are, of course, a commander and you can simply drag and select a group of units on the secondary touch screen and command them to come to your aid, and with adequate controls you will not even interrupt your battle!
Although Dynasty Warriors has been more of a no-brainer action game there is no reason why such a command interface should not be included.
Once you start to really speculate about the uses of the DS secondary screen it begins to seem like a wise move; however its success will inevitably fall into the hands of those developers who use the technology to the fullest. PH
