It had to happen, it was bound to happen, but by god I never expected it to happen... if only I was ready, I could have sealed myself in a concrete bunker for the next year waiting for it to all blow over.
Yes, you read the article title correctly- the plague that free-thinking, non-chav, intelligent human beings loathe and know as Crazy Frog is making its debut on the Playstation 2 and PC - all thanks to Digital Jesters. A company I once thought had integrity, and made fantastic choices on which games to let see the light of day.
Unfortunately, some mouthbreathing moron over at Digital Jesters decided his pockets were just a smidgeon too light for his liking and quickly bought into the Crazy Frog license with the intent to bring this horrible, horribly plague onto PS2 and PC. Libel? No. It's nothing more than simple truth. No free thinking, intelligent, caring human being would ever assist Crazy Frog in its plague-like spread through the entertainment world.
A pox on thee, Digital Jesters.
The game itself will be a racer, no surprise there, no doubt a poorly-realised clone of Mario Kart developed in the rush to capitalise on this god damned Crazy Frog idea before Christmas comes and goes.
It will hit the shelves in Europe in November 2005 at the standard this-game-is-crap-but-we-published-it-anyway price of £19.99. The rest of the world have until early 2006 to build their concrete bunkers.
I am sure nobody reading this article is even considering buying this game, but just in case: I URGE you not to buy this title with every cell in my body. Buying into this sort of mindless crap will just jam the idea securely in publishers heads that they can continue to get away with bringing us quick-cash-in rubbish instead of quality titles. The quagmire of poor game titles is big enough as it is without reputable publishers joining the fray with their own contibutions.
