Developer S2 Games today announced it will be releasing the much anticipated
sequel to Savage: The Battle for
Newerth. Set to launch in
the summer of 2006, Savage 2: A Tortured
Soul, will feature the same style of beautiful, expansive
environments that immersed players in the critically acclaimed original. However, an enhanced combat system, animation features, and gameplay
elements will purportedly catapult Savage 2
light years beyond its prequel.
From
the same core team that conceptualized and created Savage, Savage 2: A Tortured
Soul is promising much. The
sequel will feature enhanced
character models, higher quality animations, bump mapping, realistic, reflective
water effects, dynamic shadows, point lighting, and an enhanced particle/spell
effect system.
- More Control For Action Players
- Improved Melee System
- More Battlegroup Officer Based
- FPS Fast Action Paced Gameplay for Certain characters
- Third Person RPG Accessible GamePlay for others
- Better Items With More RPG Element
- Enhanced Spell Casting System
It all sounds a bit generic to us, but we will get some more specific details for you as they become available.
