To herald their upcoming shooter, Bet on Soldier, Digital Jesters have released a promotional mini-game that gives you a taste of what the full title will be like.
Accuracy and thriftiness with ammo is encouraged, as you are charged for every round you dispense. You gain more money by swiftly dispatching the enemies, and you get an even larger bonus for headshots.
Having tried out this game, we decided to challenge Digital Jesters to a match of their own game. Adam "Brew" Shirley of Gaming Headlines was faced by the fabled Neil "DJ" Vaughan in a one-round decider of Mini Bet on Soldier.
Despite a gallant performance by the infamous DJ, gathering a respectable score of 56,780, Brew managed to pull off a victorious coup through a sizeable chunk of luck, and finished the round with 133,605 points.
But that was just the warm up, since Digital Jesters have agreed to an official match of the full Bet on Soldier when it is released in September. We'll keep you updated.
Until then, try your hand at the mini-game by clicking here, and post your scores below using the comment boxes.
