Panzer Elite Action sees you command your own lumbering steel beast of death across three different campaigns. Interestingly you get to play a German tank commander, as well as a Russian and an American, and you reenact famous scenes from history, such as the siege of Stalingrad, the Battle of the Bulge, and the crossing of the Rhine.

Developers Zootfly have worked hard to recreate a realistic environment for you to fight in, with all sorts of enemy threats making an appearance. The game world is graphically as well as physically impressive, with your tank able to trundle straight through buildings, and over walls and trees.

The palpable sense of power granted to you by ensconcing yourself in a 30-ton box of steel with a giant gun is quite overawing. We look forward to smashing everything into little bits once we get review code. Expect a release this year on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 2.
