2K Games have today released news of Shattered Union. It is being developed by PopTop Software, who have worked on titles such as Railroad Tycoon and Tropico. However, this latest offering takes on a much more sinister theme.

The game is a futuristic strategy title, set in a time when the US has been torn apart by civil war.  It is your duty to reconcile the country, ensuring a détente between the separate states by any means necessary. Whether this will entail diplomatic negotiations or just outright war we don’t yet know. We’ll keep you posted as more details are unveiled.
