The Prince returns for another adventure.

Though you’ve probably already known that the Prince is set to return once more this year, Ubisoft has now confirmed that its highly-acclaimed Montreal studios will develop the third game in the series for PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube.

The name of the game isn’t even definite at this point, with Ubisoft only stating that it’ll be released sometime in the second half of 2005.

"Prince of Persia 3 promises to be THE best instalment in the legendary franchise," said John Parkes, EMEA Director Marketing at Ubisoft. "By combining two playable characters in a masterly balanced gameplay, with the perfect mix of acrobatic moves and a compelling storyline, the Prince of Persia will appeal to both Sands of Time and Warrior Within fans alike. The Prince is back to reclaim his kingdom, and he has a few surprises in store..."

We'll have more news soon as E3 2005 approaches…
