Terry Malham, Digital
Jesters' Commercial Director said that, “Dog Tag will offer gamers a unique
slant on the traditional idea of good vs. evil.”
Exactly how it plans to be
‘unique’ is so far unclear, apart from the ruminative ethics of Marines
fighting other Marines. As the leader
of the force sent in to quell the rebellion and bring down the mutinous
captain, you will have several morally difficult, and even emotional choices to
make.
The key features of DogTag
include:
- Intense urban combat in ultra-realistic modern
day city and industrial environments
- Use every aspect of the environment for both
offensive and defensive cover.
- Tactical squad based movement against an enemy
who knows all your moves
- Face an entire battalion of soldiers, equipped
with the latest military hardware, vehicles and weaponry
- Marine vs. Marine as the distinction between
good and evil disappears
- Proprietary game engine with full environmental
and player collision physics, dynamic shadowing and global illumination
light mapping
At the very least we can
expect a highly polished urban warfare title with plenty of guns, action and
‘splosions. DogTag will be released in
Q2 of 2006. PC and Xbox 360 versions
are guaranteed, but the game may also be released on additional ‘next-gen
consoles’.
