MMC Keychain Holder (08/04/2004)
Options: (Print) (Send)
Tiny, but sturdy carry case for your MMC Games and loose change.

Introduction

The N-Gage uses the generic form factor of the MMC Card to store game information on. Unlike the Gameboy Advance which has the benefit of a tough plastic case around the circuitry, the tiny MMC cards are at the mercy of whatever is in your pocket at the time.

Nokia foresaw this, and most MMC purchased games come with a small plastic 'matchbox' case in the packaging, but it's still quite small, and easily bent out of shape. What's needed is something more robust, useful and pratical. Here comes the Keychain MMC Card Holder!

It's not garish, and doesn't scream "I'm carrying up to £150 of MMC Games in this little holder." It fits in with the rest of the N-Gage accessories range with muted grays and blacks in a spray pained version of some of the N-Gage controls, although from more than a foot away it looks like a tasty Urban Camoflague pattern.

Inside the zipped hard plastic shell is a burst of orange, with five padded slots that each hold one MMC card. In the opposite side of the shell is an elasticated netting space for holding some loose change (Nokia's suggestion), a single house key, or more MMC cards (my suggestion). In total it's possible to fit more than 20 cards in the case, which will be useful when Nokia release some more games. ES
