The compact, colourful successor to the iFP-700/800

The iriver T30 injects a welcome splash of colour – and sound!

Small, bright and powerful. The new T30 series of flash players has room for up to 500 songs.

Eschborn, June 29, 2005. The T30 is the cool and colourful successor to the very popular iFP-700 and iFP-800 series from iriver, the leading provider of forward-looking audio and video solutions in the digital entertainment segment. Crafted into even more compact dimensions of just 64 x 32 x 22 mm with an up market metallic case, the iriver T30 weighs in at a mere 27 grams and squeezes a full 20 hours' musical enjoyment out of just one AAA battery. Plenty of imagination went into the T30 series' clever features too: Proud owners will value the built-in real-time clock with an alarm function that gets each day off to a flying start with their favourite music – in all major audio formats and with the superb reproduction quality you would expect of iriver. Furthermore, a direct line-in allows real-time MP3 encoding and the built-in microphone makes recording voice memos an absolute breeze. The two versions of the iriver T30 feature 512 MB and 1 GB of memory.

The newcomer may be small on size, but it is definitely big on sound. High-grade earphones, a signal-to-noise ratio of 90 dB/A and a perfectly balanced frequency response offers superb sound delivery. Users can freely adjust the equalizer to get exactly the listening experience they choose. There are even ten preset equalizer options available. Multi-codec playback covers a wide range of formats: The iriver T30 supports WMA, ASF and Ogg Vorbis in addition to MP3. For users who opt for the space-saving WMA or Ogg Vorbis formats, the 1 GB model has room for over 500 tracks.

An intuitive graphical menu makes navigation on the built-in, four-line, blue-backlit LCD simplicity itself. One AAA battery keeps the T30 going for up to 20 hours. And for those who like to buy their music online, Windows Media Player 10 (supplied) is just the job. Support for the new Windows Media 10 DRM also leaves the new flash players well equipped for future downloading services such as ‘Napster to go’.

The iriver T30 is available with two sizes of memory and in two colours. The flagship 1 GB model is available in rose red at a price of £99. Its sibling has 512 MB of memory and is available in lawn green for £65. Both T30 models will be in the shops in July.
