GamePark strikes again with the successor to the GP32. The device has received a complete overhaul making it a fantastic 2d system for emulation, ebook reading, pictures, music and video.
The GPX2 sports dual ARM CPUs, 64mb RAM, a 3.5" 320*240 pixel TFT and runs a Linux-based operating system.
The requisite media capabilities, Video, Sound and Pictures are present in the device with MPEG, MPEG4, Dvix 3.11,4x,5x, XVID, WMV, MP3, OGG, WMA, JPG, BMP, PCX and GIF formats in its impressive lineup of media support.
The main feature of the GPX2 will be its huge base of user-developed software which will almost certainly include emulators for MAME, SNES, NES, SMD, SCUMM and many other classic systems. The pure digital joypad and 2d-only graphics reflect this aim.
